All of our targets are made from high-quality certified US AR500 plate steel. We require all targets to meet our extensive quality assurance requirements. As a result, each target has been precision cut from a certified plate of steel. The mounting hole is 1/2” and easily fits our elastomeric hangers. Each target is powder coated with a color indicating its thickness.
What is the “Life” of a typical target?
During testing, a law enforcement agency fired over 12,000 rounds of 5.56 at a distance as close as 7 yards and over 3,000 rounds of 7.62 without failure on the same ½” AR500 target. We would like to remind you that cracking, breaking, and deformation of the AR plate are normal over time. Factors depend on the type of ammunition, caliber, and distance shot.
How can I extend the “Life” of my target?
Do not shoot Steel Core, Bimetal, Multicore, Armor Piercing, Green Tip, XM193, Steel Shot, or velocities higher than rated in this catalog.
Our competitor’s plasma, laser or flame cut their targets. The heat produced during these methods reduces the hardness and decreases the lifespan of the target. Take Aim Targets uses water jet cutting on all targets. This process does not alter the metallurgy of the steel because there is no heat buildup during the cutting process. This extends the life of your target system.

We have tested most types of handguns, shotguns, and rifles. Typical rifle calibers range from 5.56 through 7.62NATO, .308, 300 Win Mag, 7mm, .338 Lapua, .50 cal BMG, and the increasingly popular 6.5 Creedmoor. Thicker targets or custom sizes are available by special order.

The Contender was designed by one of our law enforcement partners to give the tactical advantage of shooting a reduced-size IPSC BC target. “Aim small, miss small,” was the focus of this 9”x20” target. After shooting this target, you will find the competition-size IPSC target to be a breeze. It can be used with 20” elastomeric hangers (sold separately) or can be mounted on a swivel mount.

14”x29” Target is made from AR500. Reactive Fatal “T” and Chest verify a hit audibly and visually. We require all our targets to meet our extensive quality assurance requirements. As a result, each target has been water jet cut from a certified plate of steel. A perfect choice for long-range precision shooting. Includes 20” elastomeric hangers.
Sniper 2 Square Target System
Innovative target system that allows shooters to set up one target in multiple shooting configurations. The field setup of this system takes less than one minute by simply snapping the carabiners into our rigid crossbar. This target system comes complete with elastomeric hangers, one small 6” x 8” target, and one large 12” x 18” target. All metal components are powder coated for durability.

The 3/16” AR500 steel thickness is optimal for rimfire shooting. All of our rimfire targets have a single 3/8” mounting hole. These targets pair with our 1 1/2” wide elastomeric hangers.
